
David Koh explores what it means to be human in an increasingly digital world. Working across moving image, expanded photography, and interactive installations, he investigates the border between machine and individual, asking how digital networks, and now AI, are reshaping wellbeing, memory, and collective connections.
David received an MA in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins and a BFA in Filmmaking from NYU Tisch School of the Arts. His work has been recognized by Google Arts & Culture and David has exhibited and collaborated with organizations internationally including The Wrong Biennale (London/Online, 2025), ZECHE, The New Now Festival (Essen, Germany 2021), Visioni Parallele (Rome, Italy 2021), The Asian American International Film Festival (New York City, USA), The Paris Independent Film Festival (Paris, France 2020), and Luz Viajera Colectivo (Guadalajara, Mexico 2021).In 2022, he was one of the Summer artist in residence with the photography and video center Objectifs (Singapore, 2022).
David additionally has organized various artist exhibitions including De-Oriented, exhibiting emerging Southeast Asian artists (London, UK 2022) and Ethereal, showcasing expansive Asian American creatives (New York City, USA 2018).
Born in Singapore and raised in the United States, David earned his BFA in Filmmaking from NYU in 2015 and an MA in Fine Art at Central Saint Martins in 2023. He is currently based between New York City, Singapore, and London.
