David is an artist and filmmaker whose works examine how digital media and technology affect people, society, and the environment. He investigates the ways that fact and fiction, real and fake, coexist in the digital post-truth era. David's preferred medium for work is media technology. Along with working with more contemporary media forms like extended reality (XR), artificial intelligence (AI), and the internet, he also uses more conventional media like film and photography. Ultimately, David's research manifests itself as physical and digital installations, interactive art pieces, and web-based artwork. His aim is to physicalize the digital, in order to research the boundary between the tangible and immaterial. Born in Singapore and raised in the United States, David earned his BFA in Filmmaking from NYU in 2015 and is currently pursuing his MA in Fine Art at Central St. Martins.
